Democrat Abdul El-Sayed and former Republican Rep. Mike Rogers face off to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Gary Peters. El-Sayed has been endorsed by high-profile progressives, including Sen. Bernie Sanders. Meanwhile Rogers is looking for a comeback after losing a Senate race in 2024, and has been endorsed by President Donald Trump, though Republicans haven’t won a Senate race in the state since 1994.
Mike Rogers would need to win 49.6% of the remaining vote to catch or overtake Abdul El-Sayed, who leads.
